Their relationship was imperfect and an emotional journey. It taught them love can overcome anything and they've learned a lot from their family and friends which resulted into a fruitful and more meaningful relationship. Fortunately ,it's an amazing conclusion to Rush and Gia's story. What a heart-melting and sweet romance. Absolutely worth the wait. I'll terribly miss them all. Hello book hangover! The writing is good and flows nicely but it just feels like there's a lot of filler material that doesn't exactly move the story forward. Just my opinion: The duet is now complete! Book 2 starts right the second the first one ended.
At Rush's brother's birthday party in the city. And Gia just realized that Rush's brother Elliott is the father of her baby. Rush can never know.
She needs to tell him first. But she's scared, because she just knows that Rush wouldn't be able to handle that. He hates his brother. What to do? She has to tell him - but then she will lose him fore Book 2 starts right the second the first one ended. She has to tell him - but then she will lose him forever Will there finally be a HEA? Finally book 2! The first one ended sooo cliffyish! Poor Rush. There are a billion guys coming to the Hamptons every day - why did Gia have to have a one-night stand with his's idiot half-brother???
I kind of hated the whole book. LOL - no. I loved it. Poooooor Rush! And poor Gia. You just hope all through the sad beginning that they'll fight through this and that Elliott won't be too much of an ass about everything Even though I hated so much about the situation, I really loved reading the book.
Rush just can't stay away from the love of his life and the baby - even though it's not his kid but his nephew or niece Great second book in this duet. Sad, moving, frustrating, sweet, adorable, funny, sexy After things were left off in Rebel Heir I knew I was in for an angst fest when I began reading this book.
In fact, I was so worried about this I decided to not read this before I went to bed because I knew it would fuck with my head when I should be sleeping and I would end up reading all night. So yes, I can confirm there was a lot of angst in this but I also loved how much honesty there was too. In fact, it was really refreshing to not have the main characters making assumptions and miscommunicating. Rush and Gia go through a lot in this storhy, their love and commitment is challenged in so many ways but they are very open with each other about how they feel. Gia is feeling very vulnerable and trying to put her baby and herself first.
Standing on her own two feet has never been more important than it is now. She needs to prove to herself that no matter what happens she can handle whatever life throws at her, as hard and painful as it may be. And Rush. Oh my goodness, what a beautiful man he is.
He has a lot to work through and needs time to figure out what he wants. The facts remains that he loves Gia and she loves him but is that enough to overcome the bad stuff happening now and potentially in the future. I absolutely loved this fantastic conclusion to the Rush series duet, it gave me all the wonderful book feels that I love so much.

View all 4 comments. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book. A is for Alpha B is for Books. Where do I even begin? Rebel Heart is everything I wanted and needed in the conclusion to a duet.
It starts off immediately where Rebel Heir ends and takes off running.

Life should be about living with uncertainty while we watch beautiful sunsets with the people we love. I wasn't sure what to expect in this one. How are they going to play out this storyline? Will Rush stay with Gia? Will Gia flee? Whatever happ Where do I even begin? Whatever happens, you can be sure I'm not spoiling this goodness for you. I loved her more than I thought I could handle.
They built such a fantastic story into this steamy duet and I could not put this book down. It usually takes me at least two days to read a book of this length. I read Rebel Heart between sun up and sun down. Ward and Keeland keep us on our toes and leave us with a super sweet ending that I couldn't have been happier with.

May 24, The Book Bee rated it liked it. Ok, that's a lie - I know exactly why. It took me a bit to sit down and write this review, and it's with a heavy heart that I say that in comparison to the first book, this one was just not right.
It was a dud for me. I was so freaking upset by the time this book was over, I was legit sad. My mood shifted. And for everyone that wants to say, it's just a book. I know. Yeah, that's exactly how I felt about this one.
I will say this: Sadly, it was one compromised by circumstances, but enhanced by real emotions and life. I give them that. I just feel like this book went from relatable and honest to a complete circus act - stupid drama and unfinished business.
Rush was the man. To be privy to his thoughts, it added a whole new element for me. As badass as he was, he was genuine and that just upped the swoon factor. His banter made me giggle and his naughty mouth made me blush. He did everything for Gia and made sure she was always taken care of; emotionally, mentally, and physically. He had forethought, always one step ahead to make sure Gia never needed for a thing. He always went above and beyond, always having stuff in order and never missing out on important things.
It's because he was responsible. He made plans to make sure their life was going to be stress-free and drama-free. Again, going above and waaaay beyond. What is this?? Is it life? Yes, it is. I get it. People miss things all the time. I get that. When all of the sudden characters stop doing what we have grown accustomed to, it starts to make the book take on a different theme, and that is what ruined this one for me.
I was so upset and I can't believe it upset me that much. Ridiculous, right? It is. I know it is and I accept that this is not rational behavior. But dammit, I expected more from these two because they have delivered repeatedly for me and I just think I feel completely let down by the finished product. Oh, it so was. Because in this case, it was so warranted because of the circumstances.
The nature of the emotional upheaval that Rush had was pure. I could totally feel his pain and why he was questioning everything. It was organic. It was authentic. It was real. I got it. They wrote that sooo well, and his emotions were legit. I'm trying not to give too much away, because that would ruin the entire duet for many It was palpable. It was evident. And then for this buildup to continue to escalate and the drive for a better life was planned and executed, and he is pushing for what he believes is right in their world only to have it ripped away, leaving a gaping hole?
It didn't make sense!! It didn't line up with the rest of everything he had done previously, with his actions and his words. I will say this much: So interesting. There were some relatable characters to laugh and connect with. There was some drama that I could actually see happening and not even question it It provided an element of pain and suffering on one front, but also turmoil on the heart on another.
Bottom line: The ending just sucked royally. Why a 3 if I'm so mad? Because the storyline was perfect. The initial drama was perfect.
The desire and love and lust was perfect. It was so good until that very end when all of the sudden we were dealing with four completely different characters than what we started off with.
That was not perfect. That was heartbreaking. What caused this perfection to just May 25, Carla Bulian rated it really liked it. Esperava mais desse segundo livro. Live anyway. Rush is finally able to move past things but then Gia is confronted head-on with the cause of the "something".
End Re-Cap. This book picks right up where the first one left off in all its splendid angsty glory. My heart really went out to Gia and all she was feeling. I just can't imagine. Now, she just has to talk to Rush about it which, of course, doesn't go the way she wants it.
It's a hot mess and now I have all the feels for Rush. And Rush handles it exactly the way you would expect although some events managed to get through to him and help him make some decisions. Still Rush is in no "rush" There's some drama with Rush's Dad and it was great how he stepped up to the plate and how he dealt with Elliott The ending wrapped up quite nicely but that epilogue was extra bonus points for the win!

They had so many obstacles in their way Rush and his fears, Gia struggling with her situation and the way that had to figure out how to be together and how to let love win. I give this one 4 stars because the pull and push in it get me a little boring but overall I can say I enjoyed it and it was an entertaining series to read.

Things look even worse when Rush finds out through a third party, but the facts remain the same and Rush must decide if his love for Gia is bigger than the seemingly Herculean obstacles they must face. In order to move forward, they must both see beyond past hurts and push away fears.
Rebel Heart by LK Farlow
The love and attraction between them is undeniable, but is it enough? Mostly he agonizes over the big decision he must make and showed not just his love for Gia but his maturity since meeting her. It was angst inducing and drama filled, at times it felt like it took him forever and a day to come to a decision, but it was also necessary. Both were equally appealing characters whose chemistry, banter and developing relationship made this story a great emotional read.
Rebel Heart is rife with delicious banter, angsty twists and turns, and an unputdownable swoony romance with happy ending. Told from both points of view with a happy ending. The excerpts are from that copy. I am voluntarily reviewing this title.
May 26, Jemima rated it really liked it. What an end to an amazing duet! I have loved every moment of it From the cover of the book to the last lines of the acknowledgement.. I enjoyed this duet through thick and thin. It really shouldn't have been a surprise since it was written by two amazing authors.. Gia and Rush's relationship is filled with angst, swoon worthy chemistry and I am going to miss the hell out of them The Rush Duet has been an absolute joy for this romance reader!
