For example, the nematode worm C. In the human genome, which, according to January estimates, has about 20, protein coding genes in total, there are nuclear genes encoding cytoplasmic tRNA molecules, and tRNA-derived pseudogenes —tRNA genes thought to be no longer functional although pseudo tRNAs have been shown to be involved in antibiotic resistance in bacteria.
Cytoplasmic tRNA genes can be grouped into 49 families according to their anticodon features.

These genes are found on all chromosomes, except the 22 and Y chromosome. High clustering on 6p is observed tRNA genes , as well on 1 chromosome.
Evolution[ edit ] The top half of tRNA consisting of the T arm and the acceptor stem with 5'-terminal phosphate group and 3'-terminal CCA group and the bottom half consisting of the D arm and the anticodon arm are independent units in structure as well as in function.
The top half may have evolved first including the 3'-terminal genomic tag which originally may have marked tRNA-like molecules for replication in early RNA world. The bottom half may have evolved later as an expansion, e. This proposed scenario is called genomic tag hypothesis. These roles may be regarded as ' molecular or chemical fossils ' of RNA world.
Evolution of the tRNA gene copy number across different species has been linked to the appearance of specific tRNA modification enzymes uridine methyltransferases in Bacteria, and adenosine deaminases in Eukarya , which increase the decoding capacity of a given tRNA.
In Eukarya, AGC isoacceptors are extremely enriched in gene copy number in comparison to the rest of isoacceptors, and this has been correlated with its A-to-I modification of its wobble base. This same trend has been shown for most amino acids of eukaryal species.
Indeed, the effect of these two tRNA modifications is also seen in codon usage bias. Highly expressed genes seem to be enriched in codons that are exclusively using codons that will be decoded by these modified tRNAs, which suggests a possible role of these codons—and consequently of these tRNA modifications—in translation efficiency.
Functionally, tRFs are associated with viral infection, cancer, cell proliferation and also with epigenetic transgenerational regulation of metabolism. Engineered tRNAs[ edit ] Artificial suppressor elongator tRNAs are used to incorporate unnatural amino acids at nonsense codons placed in the coding sequence of a gene.
An investigation of the amber initiator tRNA showed that it was orthogonal to the regular AUG start codon showing no detectable off-target translation initiation events in a genomically recoded E. The transcription terminates after a stretch of four or more thymidines. Some pre-tRNAs contain introns that are spliced, or cut, to form the functional tRNA molecule; in bacteria these self- splice , whereas in eukaryotes and archaea they are removed by tRNA-splicing endonucleases.
It saves time! This may sound contrary to common sense because underlining is definitely faster than painstakingly writing stuff in our own language.
True, preparing notes takes lot longer than underlining books. But because they are in our own language, revising them takes lot lesser time than revising underlined stuff.
In fact, with well prepared notes, it may be possible to revise your entire syllabus some times and each successive revision will be faster!
Notes are customizable. We can frame our own questions which we think may be asked in UPSC and prepare our notes accordingly. Notes on Paper vs Notes on Computer Try to make notes on computer if your typing speed is even half decent. It is editable and can be formatted easily. We can delete, format, append, insert, do anything with notes on computer and yet make it one clean nice story.
For instance, many stories in current affairs develop over weeks and months. No newspaper story will have a complete picture of it.
But the question will only ask the complete story. So in our notes, we will have to edit bit by bit over time so that by the exam time we have the entire story in one place. The choice is yours — read n number of newspaper cuttings or physical paper notes, each containing partial information or read one coherent, complete story in one place only on computer.
This will help us in quick revisions as well. This may include the basic books, the advanced books, newspapers, magazines, reports etc. Thus whether we read from a book, newspaper, internet or wherever, all our notes on coal energy should be in one place only. Click here to see the note on energy. This will provide a picture of how to organize the notes forgive me for some instances of lack of formatting in the note as they were added when I had grown lazy.
Newspaper and Magazine Reading News vs Issues People in the beginning tend to focus on news and make notes accordingly. UPSC never asks news… it asks issues. An issue specific reading thus tries to: 1.
For eg. Then when we read any news, we need to connect it to the key points so identified and not bother about facts and figures.
Politics, sports, masala news etc. Keep an eye on any committee, any law, any rules, any policy, any supreme court orders etc. These are our bread and butter in upsc preparation. Hindu has become very very important since last 2 years.
Read one more newspaper at least. Since Hindu is left leaning, so may suggest a pro-reform newspaper say Indian Express. UPSC is a left leaning exam.
So one may read EPW magazine, but beware of the excessively left leaning rattling. Similarly yojana is a helpful magazine as well. GS is a generalist exam and reading has to be kept generalist too. Our goal should be to finish one newspaper in max half an hour. But for our exam we need full information. Only place today to find complete information is internet. This can be done only on internet. How to use the internet 1. It is free and easy. Any new item will show up with title and one line on your feedly.
We can decide to either read it or skip it.
Other meaningful alerts may be created. Report Reading During our preparation we will need to read multiple committee reports. There is always a temptation to just make our notes based on that newspaper article. But this is not the right approach — because the newspaper article has not been written for the upsc exam and the reporter may not have covered all points relevant to us in our preparation for the exam. So the correct approach is to always look up for the original report on the internet and read it.
How to read bulky reports But many reports are bulky. If we read them in detail, it would take an inordinate amount of time. Customer images.

Good questions of the Advanced level. Probably the best book there is for Physical Chemistry. Especially from the perspective of JEE Advanced. Has sufficient theory Ample for physical chemistry and has an enormous amount of solved examples which are structured very astutely around the type of questions asked at the advanced level.
In my opinion, reading and solving the solved examples alone can provide you with a decent grasp at the concepts but since that mightn't suffice for a lot of people, there are a ton of good questions that really deserve praise. Go for it without a second thought, you won't regret it and this would completely eliminate the need for a second book!

Just the best concept developing book. It acts like the "Concepts of Physical Chemistry". The easiest way of approaching varied questions through mole concept is efficiently explained. Initially each chapter starts with a brief theory and general points then followed by numerous illustrative examples to show application in problems.
Lastly a short exercise is given to practise concept application with answers given at right margin of each question with hints when necessary.
Every chapter of JEE has been included and chapters of miscellaneous problems has been given at the end of book. This book has been wholly committed to concept development for physical chemistry. Awesome book , if you aim for iit this is a must found it very useful but the only thing is it does not contain inorganic.
I think this is the best book for the candidates who are going to attend the joints and other entrance exams. According to my views this is very useful book which is full of numericals, etc. The delivery was also very good it's was delivered within 24 hours after placing the order. Best book.Initially each chapter starts with a brief theory and general points then followed by numerous illustrative examples to show application in problems.
